The Lake Travis Lions Club has stepped up to fill a need for meal delivery to the homebound.
Since Meals on Wheels (MoW) does not serve our community, our local Lions Club has come up with a meal delivery program for homebound residents that is really unique but follows the MoW guidelines.
Residents who are temporarily or permanently unable to prepare meals for themselves and have no one caring for them, are now able to request meal delivery through the Lake Travis Lions Club. The Mobile Meals program has been successfully launched with recipients receiving hot meals prepared by some of the finest south Lake Travis area restaurants and delivered by the Lions Club and their volunteers.
In order to apply for the “Mobile Meals” program as a recipient, a food provider, or as a volunteer to help deliver meals, please call Lion Seth Brower at 512-794-3818 or Lion Linda Davis at 512-799-2924.
